Palmyra Cove Nature Park (PCNP) is a 250-acre urban oasis along a highly developed area on the Delaware River. Habitats include wetlands, woodlands, meadows, wild creek and river shoreline, and a freshwater Tidal Cove after which the park is named.
The Institute for Earth Observations at Palmyra Cove is a STEM educational initiative for students and teachers that studies Planet Earth. This is a unique and engaging facility where experiences can be shared…and innovative collaboration begins!

Is the park handicap-accessible?
The Palmyra Cove Nature Park (PCNP) is not handicap-accessible. However, there are numerous viewing/observation opportunities along Park Drive and at the Environmental STEM Center (ESC).

The ESC is handicap-accessible.

Are there restrooms?
Restrooms are available to the public during regular business hours and are located in the ESC; they are handicap-accessible. Changing stations can be found in both the men’s and women’s restrooms.
Is the Environmental STEM Center closed when there are school programs?
When school visits are scheduled, the Exhibit Hall of the ESC will be CLOSED to the public. Please check the calendar.
Can I make a memorial donation?
Absolutely! The Palmyra Cove Environmental Education Foundation gladly accepts donations for any occasion. Click here.
Is fishing permitted?
Fishing in the Delaware River is permitted with a proper Fresh Water Fishing License. No fishing is permitted in the park area.
Are Dogs/pets allowed in the Park?
Dogs and other pets are NOT permitted as we are a bird migration sanctuary.
Can the Tent be reserved for special occasions?
Reservations are NOT available for the tent area. Visitors are welcome to use the tent on a “first come first served” basis and only when school groups are not scheduled. Please check the calendar.
Are we allowed to bring our wedding party to the park for photographs?
Wedding parties are welcome at the park for photographs.
Are drones allowed in the park?
For security reasons, use of drones is prohibited on park property.
