Palmyra Cove is a 250-acre urban oasis along a highly developed area on the Delaware River. Habitats include wetlands, woodlands, meadows, wild creek and river shoreline, and a freshwater Tidal Cove after which the cove is named.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse crossed North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon 1 passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun and causing the sky to darken as if it were dawn or dusk.
