In conjunction with its Sept. 15 launch of the ICESat-2 satellite at Vandenberg Air Force Base, NASA and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, presented a live music and multimedia art and science program titled “Beautiful Earth,” at Solvang Festival Theater. The event featured a performance by Kenji Williams, a showing of the film, “Bella Gaia,” a HoloGLOBE experience and remarks by Project Scientist Thorsten Markus.
